Summer means time for Adventure!
The Salvation Army Pine Summit Camp exists for kids aged 8-17 years old to have the adventure of a lifetime! Located at Big Bear, CA, they can experience a week of fun in the outdoors, register today!
Overnight Summer Camp experiences for kids and teens aged 8-17 years old. Our fully trained and background-checked staff are ready to give kids the week of their lives as they participate in games, sports, team building, arts, crafts and - of course - campfires! Thanks to the generosity of local donors and foundations, the cost to families is only $20 per week/per camper, which includes transportation from El Cajon to Camp, accommodation, food and all activities.

Overnight Summer Camp at Pine summit camp is open to all East County kids.
This year, the Camp experiences available are:
Sports Adventure | Ages 8 – 12 | July 1st – 5th
The goal of Sports Adventure camp is to encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness and most importantly FUN. Camp will include basketball, soccer, obstacle courses, volleyball, human foosball, and more. Proper attire is important, including good tennis shoes, shorts, and sweaters for the evenings! *This camp will include 4th of July festivities!
Music Camp | Ages 8 – 14 | July 8th – 13th - FULL
Music camp this year will be a combination of music ensembles and music discovery. Campers with experience in music and/or campers who are part of a music program can join ensembles such as brass band, choir, and percussion. Along with rigorous music programs is a whole lot of fun, and campers will enjoy all of excitement of campfire, free time, making new friends and great food! CURRENTLY OPEN TO RED SHIELD MUSIC PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ONLY.
Mountain Top SAY Camp | Ages 8 – 12 | July 15th – 19th
Youth will have the opportunity to learn new skills, earn badges (similar to Scouting programs) and explore the great outdoors! They will enjoy evening campfires, group games, outdoor sports and play, free time, arts and crafts, amazing food and more!
Teen Wilderness | Ages 13-17 | July 1st-5th, 8th-13th & 15th-19th | ALL TEEN CAMPS FULL
An active exploration camp which involves hiking, rock-climbing, and mountain biking. They stay in basic bunkhouse accommodation and then usually have one night sleeping outdoors (weather conditions permitting). It’s a high energy camp that is specifically designed for older youth and a good mix of fun and challenge, with encouraging Bible based discussion times!
Pine Summit Camp is a Christian Camp. As such, there are encouraging faith-based elements throughout the camps, such as worship songs and bible stories during campfires, and prayers before meals. However, all children are very welcome regardless of their beliefs.
